Minimum requirements
Below you will find the minimum requirements for opening an account, and trading in various securities such as shares, options and futures.
Minimum deposit
LYNX has set a minimum deposit of € 3,000 to open an account. This can be done by transferring cash or by transferring an existing portfolio with a minimum value of € 3,000.
Minimum age
The minimum age to open an account is 18 years. However, you must be at least 21 years to open a margin account. If you are between 18 and 21 years of age or a student (with a paid job), you are only able to open a cash account. With a cash account, it takes three days after a transaction before you are once again given access to the sum released. There are no restrictions in a margin account: after selling a position you can reinvest the funds immediately.
Minimum amount for trading in options
The total value of your portfolio (value of securities plus cash) must be at least $ 2,000 USD (or an equivalent amount of a different currency) in order to be able to trade in all options, futures and American shares. If your portfolio does not meet this minimum requirement, you will still be able to trade in European shares and options.
