Explanation of content
Below you can find detailed information about the sections of the account statement:
Please note: Categories will only appear in your statement if there were transactions or activities of that type during the selected period.
Account Information
In the Account Information category you will find general information about your securities account.
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | Names of all account holders. |
| Account | Account number. |
| Customer type | Ownership structure of the account (individual account, joint account, corporate account, etc.). |
| Account Capabilities | Type of account management (cash account or margin account). |
| Base currency | Default currency of your account. |
Net Asset Value
The Net Asset Value (NAV) is the total value of your account.
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Change in NAV | This shows the individual values that contribute to a change in the account’s NAV. A change in NAV does not necessarily represent a profit or loss, as it can also result from deposits, withdrawals, or other changes in the account. |
| Time Weighted Rate of Return | This measures investment performance while removing the effect of external cash flows, such as deposits and withdrawals. It therefore provides a better measure of the account’s investment performance than simply comparing changes in NAV. The displayed time-weighted return does not represent the percentage change in the account’s NAV. |
| Portfolio Analyst | If you wish to perform a more detailed analysis of your account’s performance, you can use the Portfolio Analyst. |
Mark-to-Market Performance Summary
This section shows changes in the value of your positions based on daily closing prices. Mark-to-Market (MTM) calculates the profit or loss on your positions as if they were settled at the end of each day using the applicable closing price.
MTM does not reflect the price at which you could have sold a position during the day, nor does it reflect the actual price at which you later sold the position. For example, if a stock reached $105 during the day but closed at $100, MTM uses the $100 closing price.
MTM applies to positions that are open or closed during the reporting period. It does not calculate profit or loss by matching opening and closing transactions. Instead, the MTM calculation assumes that positions are settled at the end of each day at the applicable closing price and reopened the following day.
Realized profit or loss from closing a position is not included in the MTM calculation. Details of actual transactions and their associated profit or loss can be found in the Transactions section.
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Symbol | The symbol of the position. |
| Prior Quantity | The previous day’s quantity held in the account. |
| Current Quantity | The current quantity held in the account. |
| Prior Price | The previous day’s closing price of the position. |

| Total | A sum of the values in the columns Position, Transaction, Commissions, and Other. |
Realized & Unrealized Performance Summary
In this section, you will find an overview of your profits and losses divided by security class and underlying asset.
This table is divided into realized and unrealized gains and losses. The realized gains and losses are converted into the base currency on the day of position closure. Unrealized gains and losses are converted into the base currency using the last currency closing rate of the reporting period.
The columns Profit and Loss show the cumulative gains and losses respectively. The totals of gains and losses are displayed in the Total columns. The last column summarizes both realized and unrealized gains and losses.
S/T stands for Short Term and refers to positions held for less than 365 days.
L/T stands for Long Term and refers to positions held for more than 365 days.
Cost Adj. indicates adjustments made to the cost basis. In the case of tax-free dividend payments or capital repayments (Return of Capital), the cost basis of the position is adjusted. Thus, the capital repayment is only taken into account for tax purposes when the position is closed.

Cash FX Translation Gain/Loss
For accounts holding currencies other than the base currency, exchange-rate changes can affect the value of your cash when it is translated into the base currency. This effect is shown under Cash FX Translation Gain/Loss.
The amount reported here is not an actual realized gain or loss from a currency conversion. It reflects the change in the base-currency value of foreign-currency cash due to changes in exchange rates between reporting periods. The actual realized gain or loss from a foreign-currency position can only be determined when that currency position is closed.
To calculate the reported translation effect, the difference between the exchange rates of the current and previous reporting periods is multiplied by the opening cash balance in the respective foreign currency. The resulting amounts for the individual foreign currencies are then combined to determine the Cash FX Translation Gain/Loss shown in the Base Currency Summary.

- Configure the available delivery and file format settings according to your preferences and select the desired Period for the template. This setting does not limit the length of the statement you can generate later.
- Click Continue and complete the setup to save the template.
After saving, the new template will appear in the Custom Statements list. From there, you can use the arrow icon in the corresponding row to run the template. When generating the statement, you can select the desired reporting period and date range. A custom date range of up to 365 days can also be selected, allowing you to create, for example, a statement covering an entire calendar year.
